ASUU Cautions Buhari Against Reopening of Universities, Records Outcome

The Scholarly Staff Association of Universities, ASUU, has cautioned the Central Government against opening the Country's Universities without completely preparing them against Coronavirus. 

Talking during a Question and answer session on different public issues including the ASUU agitated finance's, the zonal Administrator of the Association, Friend Abdulkadir Muhmud, said that they are not disinclined to the launch of Universities but rather said measures against Covid must be taken.

He stated, " let me make it extremely evident that ASUU isn't unwilling to the kickoff of state funded Universities, yet before doing that legislature must give all the fundamental conditions that will make it sheltered and helpful for our individuals and the understudies to keep away from a spike on account of the pandemic ". 

The Zonal ASUU Director cautioned that the experience of different nations with surprisingly better offices that have opened and later shut because of the spike in the Pandemic should manage the administration's contemplations or next line of activities. 

ASUU reminded that State funded Universities which represents about 90% of the Understudy Populace are not prepared and that the administration ought not surrender to pressures from private Universities who are out of organizations and are anxious to open shops.
